A Featured Favorite: Illustrator, Hannah Stouffer

Los Angeles based artist, Hannah Stouffer depicts incredible imagery through her illustrations, with colors that burst. Recently, Sour Harvest interviewed Stouffer and described her work as an "infatuation for icons and images that reflect and categorize historical eras, genres and subcultures, her work is an opulent, elegant and beautifully intricate mixture of illustration and design."

In one of the last questions of the interview they asked, "If people walk away with one thing gained/learned from one of your shows, what would you hope that would be?" and she said: "The greatest human conflict is dealing with contrast." Beautiful. I was moved by her images, and I hope you will be too.



The heart of darkness exists within the light. Black Dawn, Dawn After Dawn Tepid Neon, Frozen Clarity. This contrast, and the ever present existence of the two is constant. Macabre Elegance. Darkness Falls Forever... Since The Beginning.

A Featured Favorite: TheDieline

{I realized I feature a lot of things that I stumble across on the web that I think, can't go unnoticed and I want to share. Maybe not as much as Caitlin on Smile Like You Mean It (love her blog, you should check it daily) but enough that I thought whenever I do, it will be under "A Featured Favorite." With that being said, here's the first}

I love branding, designing and packaging. I enjoy checking out branding redesigns and using my eye to decipher what works and doesn't (in my mind). For this reason, that is why I totally dig TheDieline: The World's #1 Package Design Website.
